Whether you are responding to a communication from us for the first time, or are an active community member invited to participate in another research event, we look forward to getting your voice heard! 

How it works…

Respond to Your Invitation!

The first step is to confirm which research is a fit for you. To do so, we need to confirm some of your information. Community members can complete a profile and save time/reduce the amount of data we need to confirm your appointment. But you do not need to be a community member to participate!

Participate in Research!

Once we confirm the research event that works for you and your schedule, all you need to do is follow the invite instructions.  We are here as a professional research team to guide you through a positive experience. So reach out to us for any questions or concerns, show up to your scheduled appointment and have fun sharing your ideas, preferences and opinions along with other consumers.

Get Paid!

Once you have completed your research event, typically on-site at the time of completion, we pay you the agreed upon “incentive” for your participation. Our average incentive for 2021 was equal to $75/hour.

 
 

Here are some of the types of research events the My2Cents community supports…

  • Review new concepts fresh out of the design center and provide feedback on future product and service ideas!

  • Evaluate new products near market launch and help product and marketing teams understand what is most important to consumers including stationary dynamic and drive research!

  • Share your opinions with professional research interviewers in a casual conversation about what is really matters to you!

  • A majority of the research events we support are in a central location such as a convention center or hotel ballroom due to the confidential nature of the research topics and need to be conducted in a secure environment.

  • Innovations in tech have recently increased the capability to conduct research remotely. Digital platforms such as ZOOM, virtual reality solutions like Oculus and even your own smartphone can allow some research topics to be tested from the comfort of your home or office.

How and when do I get paid for participating in a research event?

Most often we can provide a cash incentive or e-card cash equivalent at the end of your event or within 10-14 business days of completion depending on the specs of the research project you are participating in.

How often can I participate in research events?

My2Cents supports research events throughout the year, nationwide. If you join the My2Cents community you will receive invitations to events in your area that are a potential fit for you based on the information you have shared in your profile. While you can participate in multiple events per year, certain types of events may be limited to once every 3 to 6 months for the same type of research. This will provide a variety of research opportunities to participate in, share your 2 cents and get paid!

Do I have to join the community to participate in a research event?

No, you do not need to join the community to join us for a research event. We often include non-community members in research events depending on the research needs. If you have received an invite from us and this is your first time here considering participating, we encourage to join our community and participate in more research events in the future. We are confident you will enjoy your experience with us and by providing your profile information, we can identify future studies that are a fit for you and invite you to participate again!

How is my data managed?

Confidentially! The research events My2Cents supports are confidential, and so is your information. This is research, for the purpose of research to understand consumers preferences and attitudes with new products and services. You will not be sold anything nor will any of your information be sold.
